HCDE 308 is a class focused on visual communication. The purpose of this assignment was to create an image in illustrator that would show an ideal specimen of an assigned plant. My assigned plant was a Christmas classic – Holly. The scenario is that we were designing identifying plaques to be posted by the plant. This black and white version of my design is meant to focus on form of the plant.

We had a further iteration on our designs. The scenario is that UW Botanical really liked our designs that we created. Our next project is to create a colored version of the design that would be printed onto a tote bag. Since holly has the association with Christmas, I decided to keep the color palette the traditional Christmas colors of red and green.
